This is what makes you beautiful….

We at Youseum know and reinforce the message that you are beautiful the way you are. 1. Cut down salt

We all know sugar is harmful, but did you know the same goes for salt?! Aside from the health risks that come from consuming too much salt, your skin quality may also change due to dehydration. Of course, one should not cut out salt completely but it might be worth your while to use salt as little as possible. Instead, why not take that excess salt and mix it with some olive oil to give your skin an excellent peeling?

2. Use sunscreen – always! 

The bad news is that UV light is one of the main reasons that your skin ages. The good news is that by applying sunscreen you can prolong this aging process! We recommend that you use sunscreen at all times, not just on the sunny days. UV light is always around, regardless of clouds and clear skies. PS: make sure to apply it on your neck and hands as well!

3. Moderation is key

Try not to force yourself to eat healthy foods and exercise everyday – learn to listen to your body. Resting is important too. Don’t be afraid to treat yourself to a nice cocktail or a lazy night in. Sometimes, we get so caught up in our healthy, fast lifestyles that we often forget to slow down and enjoy the little things in life.

4. Move, baby!

We have all heard this one before! Doing at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise a day can make your life longer and healthier. No one is expecting you to run a marathon or to hit the gym. Everything that brings your heart rate up can be considered as exercise. Try to include a fast walk or cycling into your routine (maybe leave the house 10 minutes later on purpose, so you have no choice 😉).
