August, 13th 2020
Temperatures are rising and you need a place to cool down? Youseum knows the best spots for a nice swim and listed cool places to visit in Amsterdam. We are sure that you will discover a new one for yourself!
This spot is not far from the city center on Java Eiland and offers a big field to sun and picnic. You can easily access the water from the footbridge and enjoy the view of Zeeburg. Make sure that you bring something to eat and drink by yourself since there is only a supermarket nearby. This spot transmits the perfect urban city feeling!
2. HET TWISKE
Do you want to escape the city? Then Het Twiske might be the spot for you. It is on the top places to visit in the north of Amsterdam. You can combine it with a cosy bike ride! It offers diverse activities to choose from, but of course, you can also just spend your day on the water for your own. Tired of swimming? You can easily rent a boat or a canoe here, and turn your swim into something adventurous!
Looking for something unique? This special spot is located in an old harbor! It opened only a few years ago, and still seems to be a little secret. The best part about it is, that is located near Central Station – next to the NEMO museum. Why don’t you check it out today? And in case you get hungry: Marineterrein houses multiple spots to grab some nice food nearby too.
4. STENEN HOOFD
Another spot that is near Central Station is Stenen Hoofd – this spot can offer you a city beach feeling, that makes you slightly forget that you are in the middle of the busy city of Amsterdam. Tropical vibes included!
5. DE CEUVEL
Want to combine your swim with a nice drink? De Ceuvel offers a nice atmosphere with several options to spend a whole evening, next to some nice swimming opportunities.
This is our favorite spot for sure! Did you know, that you can go for a swim right next to the interactive museum Youseum? There are several opportunities to lie down, sunbathe, or just to jump into the cool water. The passing boats create a unique feeling – that you can only have in Amsterdam! Therefore, don’t forget your swimsuit the next time you visit us at YOUSEUM!
